• Childrens Medicaid is changing

  • Children’s Medicaid is changing. To explain what these changes are, New York State (NYS) will be hosting an online discussion titled NYS Children’s Medicaid System Transformation: A Discussion with Children and Families.

Affinity Health Plan invites you to join the discussion either on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 or Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. to learn about what is happening with NYS Children’s Medicaid in the coming year and to ask questions about your care.

During this webinar NYS will review the changes and additional opportunities in the Children’s Medicaid System, and what these mean for children and families enrolled in the following Medicaid waiver programs:

    NYS Agency Waiver
Department of Health Care at Home I/II (CAH I/II)
Office of Mental Health Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)
Office of Children and Family Services Bridges to Health (B2H)
Office for People with Developmental Disabilities Care at Home (CAH)

NYS agencies (DOH, OMH, OCFS, OPWDD, and OASAS) are working to make sure that children have access to all of the services they need, regardless of what their primary health needs may be. It also means children and families have a say in what services they want, where services are delivered, and how services are provided.
